TRIPINDI SHRADH

Tripindi Shradha puja services in Varanasi is a Hindu ritual performed to honor and offer respect to deceased ancestors. The word “Tripindi” is derived from three Pindas or three balls made of rice flour, representing the three generations of ancestors – father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Shradha is a Sanskrit term that means “faithful offering .”

The Tripindi Shradha Puja is usually performed by the male members of a family, mainly the son or grandson of the deceased. The ritual involves performing various offerings and prayers to the ancestors, seeking their blessings and protection. Tripindi Shradha Puja is a ritual performed for the ancestors of the past three generations when regular Shraddh rituals haven’t been conducted for three years.
