ASSI-NAMO GHAT-ASSI

The renovated ‘Khidkiya ghat’, popularly known as ‘Namo ghat’ because of three large sculptures in the form of hands folded in ‘namaste’, is a major tourist destination in Varanasi. The ghat is in sync with modernity while maintaining the traditional ethos. It is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the tourists, including a cafeteria, platforms, and paintings on the walls showcasing the heritage of Kashi. The sculptures of folded hands greeting the sun have become the new identity of the ghat. Keshav is another name for Vishnu and Adi means ‘original’, and this is believed to be the first place where Vishnu came when he arrived in Kashi as Shiva’s emissary. The evening Ganga Aarti at Dsaswamedh Ghat is a sight to behold.. It is very interesting to note that the Five elements used in Ganga Aarti is representative of the five elements that Mother Earth is made up of i.e. the PANCHATATVA. The shankh heralds that the aarti is beginning and it draws everyone’s attention. Since the Ganga aarti of Banaras is for the River Ganga, a statue of Goddess Ganga is placed in the centre at one of the many raised platforms. With the sound of bells and chants and lighting of incense sticks and diyas, the aarti is carried on. People gather at the Dasaswamedh Ghat in large numbers to witness the devotional experience.

As the evening sky transitions from hues of gold to deep black, the ghat transforms into a luminous spectacle, radiating an aura of serenity and devotion. Awash with golden lights, it buzzes with activity as devotees and curious visitors take their places on the concrete stands or the steps leading to the river. When the aarti begins, the performers, clad in a traditional crimson attire, move with grace and precision, their every gesture steeped in symbolism. Every boat be it private or group is provided with an experienced boatman who are the best guides knowing everything about the city by heart. They are always very willing and excited to share their information and experiences in Kashi with you.
We can provide you with two delicious samosas, chai, and a 500m bottle of mineral water on your Ganges cruise for just 130rs per person.
We can arrange pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the Ganga. If your hotel is near the river, this service is free of charge. If your hotel is further away, we simply charge the actual transport cost.

BAJRA BOAT

Bajra boats need an introduction of their own merit. You may find slight similarities with houseboats in Dal Lake of Srinagar Kashmir or the houseboats of Alleppey in Kerala but they are a lot different in the concept. These boats come in different sizes that can cater to groups of just four people to a group of 30. Because of its strange shape, it is called Bajra, meaning thunder. It has a roof covering, well-laid-out seating arrangements, decked with flowers and musicians with tabla and sitar on board. Zamindars (rich landlords) of yesteryear entertained themselves in this manner. What was their privilege once has been reinvented and remodelled to suit tourists, pilgrims and travellers’ wishes and cravings today.

You need to pay half the amount as advance for booking confirmation and the remaining amount after drop.
Cancellation is free up till 24 hours prior to arrival
Cancellation received within 24 hours of arrival, no show or late arrival without prior intimation will incur forfeiture of the entire advance amount.
In an extremely unlike situation if we cancel the booking or are unable to provide the car, or the car breaks down and we are unable to arrange a timely replacement, you entire advance will be refunded within 48 hrs.
